1 Minutes of last Meeting.
The minutes were signed as a true record.
2 Matters Arising.
Item 13 on page 19/2005 paragraph 3 to have removed the two names mentioned.
Item 8 on page 18/2005 should have read 1 Cridling Stubbs North Waste Disposal 2 To continue to bring stone in underground to the processing plant. 3 Public Question Time. Maxine Anderson commented that UK Coal were cleaning the road as they should today 14 December 2005. Members of the Liaison Committee will write to UK Coal congratulating them on their efforts. Regarding Arriva Bus service 414 Mr Chisham went for the 12.45 pm from Doncaster and this service bus did not pull onto the allotted stand in Doncaster and left Mr Chisham stranded in Doncaster.
4 Speed Cameras.
PC Hemmingway has now got an assistant the Parish Council will try to contact him. If the Parish Council write a formal letter to Paul Shepherd, Service Manager from Highway North Yorkshire Cridling Stubbs will to on a list and eventually it will be dealt with. UK Coal is going to put rubber strips across the road to determine what speed the lorries are travelling at. The Parish Council agreed that they would like a 40mph speed limit around the village. The Parish Council will arrange a meeting with Paul Shepherd and after this meeting determine what content the official letter will contain.
5 Budget 2006. The Parish Council is to write to North Yorkshire Highways department and ask them how much they will pay the Parish Council if they undertake to cut the grass verges. S Longley asked for a 5 increase on the Parish Precept and this was passed unanimously. B Crossdale is to get a costing for production of the Newsletter.
6 Dog Fouling. Mr Parker the dog warden is currently very busy and he needs to see the problem for himself. He will try and determine if the proposed playground area will be covered by the Dog Fouling Act. Mr Parker will also check the site at Darrington East to also see if this would be covered by the Act. 7 Community Emergency Plan. B Crossdale asked the councillors various questions from the questionnaire. It was decided that all councillors’ names are to be put as emergency contacts. It was also decided that the Vicar of Womersley Church be put on the form as the Minister of Religion. It was hoped that people who may need special help in an emergency would be looked after by good neighbours. It was also decided that page 6 be deleted. Voluntary Organisations B Crossdale will try to find contact numbers for any voluntary organisations. Radio Stations Radio Aire, Viking, Leeds and Minster. Resources in the Community It was felt that people would offer any items in the event of an emergency. A draft Community Plan is to be put on January 2006 agenda.
8 Fencing. B Crossdale contacted the local constable and he will write to Mr Downing and Mr Bagshaw about the lack of fencing. 9 Hanover Green. The Parish Council will write to the residents of Hanover Green for their views on joining Cridling Stubbs Parish. Also to be contacted are 5 properties on Northfield Lane. A letter to be sent to Womersley Parish Council to inform them of this questionnaire. This item to be on January 2006 agenda.
10 Payments. Electric Christmas Decoration - £35.99 Parish Plan - CIP group to donate £140.00 towards this not £250.00 as stated on item 7 page 18/2005.
11 Any Other Business. Darrington Quarries liaison meeting held on 13 December 2005. Grass seeding has taken place on Darrington East site. Tree planting will commence in January 2006 and it is to be arranged for the village children to help plant 26,000 trees one Saturday. CIP group has changed its name from Community Investment Prospectus to Community Investment Partnership. Fly tipping on the edge of Darrington East, Bob Binstead is looking into this. UK Coal have stated that they are not responsible for the BIG STINK. Meeting closed at 8.23 pm. There were 5 members of the public present |
