The minutes were signed as a true record.

 

2 Matters Arising

 

Item 11 18/2006 should read full planning application.

 

3 Public Question Time

 

There were no public questions.

 

4 Correspondence

 

Item 4 from SDC — planning application consultation should continue with written applications.

 

5 Reports from Various Meetings

 

BC was invited to go out with the neighbourhood police team in an unmarked police car. They travelled into Tadcaster bus station and found that it was lull of youths drinking.  Sherburn had no problems that evening and Eggborough was found to be deserted.

 

6 Illegal Parking

 

Inspector Khan was made aware of the parking of vehicles on the footpath causing pedestrians to walk on the highway. PC Laura Walton will try and have a word with the offenders.

 

7 Speeding of Lorries on Womersley Road

 

Plasmor are using Womersley Road and are often seen speeding. Inspector Khan said a golden river would be useful on this road. Inspector Khan will look into UK Coal lorries speeding. Also a price is to be obtained for flashing warning light. Inspector Khan was made aware of the problem at the level crossing at Knottingley. BC is to write a letter to Plasmor about the speeding lorries. PC L Walton is also going to contact Plasmor.

 

8 Clerks Contract of Employment

Mazars invoice for £58.75 passed for payment.

A letter has been received from UK Coal regarding the big stink. UK Coal have been found not responsible for this.  It is apparently Envar’s responsibility.

 

Electoral Commission letter has been received. This letter should have been sent to SDC first. BC will forward this letter to SDC.

 

Community Emergency Plan, BC asked if this was now complete.
