1 Minutes of Last Meeting
The minutes were signed as a true record.
2 Matters Arising
J.A. queried as to a third quote for playground equipment, advised that the council are still awaiting a third quote.
3 Correspondence
Clerks and Councils Direct Magazine. The Clerk Magazine. Matta Products UK Ltd regarding safety matting for playground. S.D.C. AVS funding Fayre 27 October 2005 10am - 4pm at Selby Methodist Church. N.Y. Police campaign for Special Constables. W.M.D.C. Wakefield Local Development Scheme 2005. Groundwork Selby newsletter. N.Y.C.C. North Yorkshire Minerals and Waste Development Framework Development Proposals and CD. DEFRA Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act 2005 timetable for implementation of the Act. S.D.C. Overview and Scrutiny Committee the environment board has decided to charge £20.00 for the collection of white goods and bulky household waste. S.D.C. Inaugural Quarterly Parish Forum the first meeting of the forum is at Sherburn Social Club 29 September 2005 at 7.00 pm. Y.L.C.A. Guidance book a copy of Pointers to Good Practice. N.Y.C.C. 4 Accounts Audit 2004/2005
Audit completed by John Hardy free of charge and Mr Hardy has said he will do it free of charge every year as his contribution to the village. A letter of thanks is to be sent to Mr Hardy. It is to be minuted that there was £107.50 paid into the account after the bank statement was received. All parish councillors present signed this as correct.
5 Amberwatch 24/7 Initiative
N.Y.C.C. are going to purchase one of the street lights and erect it so that other parishes may see it up and working.
6 Overhanging Vegetation
The council is to ask Cutting Hedge a price for cutting the grass by the ditch if the price is £15.00 or less to ask Cutting Hedge to cut is as soon as possible. Item to be put in parish newsletter regarding overhanging vegetation onto footpaths and the parking of cars on the footpath and to ask villagers to refrain from the aforementioned.
7 3 Day Notice of Parish Meetings
It is to be minuted that the Parish 3 day notice will include weekends and bank holidays with a view that correspondence invariably arrives over the weekend period.
8 Parish Clerks Expenses
It was agreed to pay Lynda Walker the Parish Clerk petrol allowance for her journey to Tadcaster on Parish business at the relevant rate.
9 Emptying of Residents Bins
A letter is to be sent to S.D.C. Refuse Department stating it would have been BEST PRACTICE to inform the Parish Council of their new proposals.
10 Payments
Osgoldcross Parish Council Forum annual subscription £20.00 all agreed to be paid. Stationary and postage £28.50 all agreed to be paid. Cutting Hedge invoice for £100.00 all agreed to be paid.
11 Any Other Business
Osgoldcross Parish Council Forum passed a motion for Cridling Stubbs parish council to receive a computer. Spring Lodge Quarry has a new owner and is to meet Womersley Parish Council regarding the proposed use of the quarry. M.S. brought up fly tipping. He saw a program on the television about fly tipping in London whereby offenders were given a £50.00 on the spot fine, why can’t S.D.C. do this. Sean Longley informed the Parish Council that the next meeting of the Cridling Stubbs Community fund is 23 August 2005.
12 Public Question Time
D Bullough asked for an update of the outcome of the BIG SMELL and was informed that the parish is still awaiting the outcome.
