1 Minutes of the last meeting

 

The minutes were signed as a true record.

 

2 Matters Arising

 

MS mentioned the state of the telephone box and as yet was told that nothing had been heard from BT.  Also funding of the notice board has been applied for.

 

3 Public Question Time

 

Mr Chisham brought up the subject of Arriva buses and told the parish council that on Wednesday 5 July 2006 the 5.00 pm 414 service bus reversed into Cobcroft Lane.  It was also brought to the parish council’s attention that Arriva buses are often seen speeding through the village. Mr Chisham also asked for an update regarding senior citizen passes for pensioners travelling into South Yorkshire. He also mentioned the bushes at the top of Ladybalk Lane, Paul Shepherd is to be informed of this.

5 The Big Stink

 

Six forms were returned 4 of which wanted compensation and two wanted no further action.

 

SL suggested that a letter be sent to the Environment Agency.

 

A letter to be sent requesting a donation for Playground, Walkway and Village Hall.

 

6 Osgoldcross Parish Forum

 

£20.00 membership fee was passed for payment.

 

7 Safe Neighbourhood Sweeps

 

Community Safety Partnership want to know of any problems.

This information to be drawn from the parish plan questionnaire.  This item to be placed on the agenda for September.  A general question in the newsletter.

 

8 Parish Boundaries

 

Womersley Parish have no objections to Hanover Green and part of Northfield Lane being part of Cridling Stubbs Parish Council.  SL thought that Northfield Lane should be left in Womersley. Residents of Northfield Lane to be consulted also residents of Hanover Green.

 

9 Proposed Playground Licence

 

A draft licence has been received.

 

Item 13 says that the licence only runs for 1 year. No funders would give funding for this. A letter is to be sent to NYCC for clarification.  Also what about the proposed footpath.

 

10 Clerks Expenses and Training

 

The clerk is to carry on with training if there is no charge. This to be put on September agenda.

 

11 Payments

 

Grass cutting for July and August £200 in total passed for payment.

Newsletter £3.65 passed for payment.

 

£500 transferred from deposit to current account.

 

12 Any Other Business

 

SL has been approached by a resident about Cycling Proficiency.

Cridling Stubbs Community Fund AGM 26 July 2006 at 4pm, accounts will be open for inspection.
