Members present: B Crossdale, M Shepherd, S Longley, M Williams and J Adams.
The Clerk was not present due to illness.
1 Minutes of Last Meeting
The minutes were signed as a true record.
2 Matters Arising
None.
3 Public Question Time
The problems with buses and bus passes were raised. It was agreed the Chairman will try to arrange an open meeting to include Arriva, South Selby CIP and County Councillor Gillian Ivey.
An inquiry was made re signage of public footpaths which the Parish Council would look into.
Concerns were expressed about damage to verges by parked vehicles and a pot hole outside the UK Coal tip.
It was requested that dates of meetings, in particular for the Parish Plan, be included in the newsletter where applicable.

5 Clean Neighbourhood & Environment Act 2005
This would be put on the next agenda and 5 copies of the act would be obtained and circulated.
6 Society of Local Council Clerks
It was agreed to renew the membership.
7 YLCA
It was agreed to renew the membership.
8 YEDL - Emergency telephone number
YEDL has issued a confidential parish council hotline telephone number to be issued to one member of the parish council and used only in an emergency. It was decided that Councillor Shaun Longley was to have the number.
9 Postcodes
An update was given. NYCC Area Committee had discussed the situation and the committee’s clerk will carry out further investigations to see if any alterations could be made.
10 Planning Application- Darrington Quarries, importation of railway ballast
The actual planning application has now been received. There are no alterations from the email received from DQL and so the only observation was that all the ballast should come from the A1 junction and not passed the village.
11 Planning Application- Manor Grange Stud
No observations re application for retail use (8/40/1CBPA)
12 Clerks Expenses
Due to the Clerk’s illness, to be put on the next agenda
13 Dog Fouling
It was agreed that more signs, on every other lamppost, were needed. The dog warden is to be contacted to see if this was possible.
14 Payments
SLCC
subscription - £30 YLCA
subscription – £24 All agreed to pay.
15 Any Other Business
Womersley Burial Board - Councillor J Adams announced she was willing to sit on this for one more year. Councillor M Shepherd will attend the next meeting with a view to taking over next year.
