1 Minutes of the last meeting
The minutes were signed as a true record.
2 Matters arising
MS asked for an update on a resident’s home improvements carried out by SDC apart from the fireplace being repaired there was nothing to report.
3 Public Question Time
A resident asked about the Manor House receiving lorry loads of rubbish, i.e. chopped trees and inert rubbish. He reported that any rubbish that can be burnt is set alight. Lorries are being brought in regularly and the language of the lorry drivers is disgusting. Concerns are that is there any toxic waste amongst the rubbish. This item to be placed on April agenda.
MW showed concern regarding vans driving on the grass verge on Croft Lea whilst carrying out improvements at number 11 Croft Lea and that they have destroyed the daffodils.
4 Correspondence
Citizens Advice have requested that they would like to come and do a presentation. This item to be placed on April agenda.
5 Interim Housing Policy Questionnaire
This has been completed and returned.
6 NYCC Selby Service Centre Transportation Strategy
There will be a follow on meeting on 27 March 2008 at Selby Town Hall 6.00pm.
7 Parish Clerks Training Expenses
The clerk has attended training at Tadcaster at a mileage of 40 miles. BC proposed a payment of £10.00 for each session. MW seconded passed.
8 Proposed Wind Farm
Osgoldcross Parish Forum are to have a meeting with Your Energy at Eggborough Methodist Chapel on 20 March 2008 7.00pm. This item to be placed on April agenda.
9 Proposed Eco Town
All proposals for our area have been sent back for re-consideration. G Ivey who was present at this meeting said that a national announcement will be in the next month. A representative has told the Leeds City Region that nobody was happy with the proposed sights. The sights may not be in the Selby area but no official notification as been received as yet. MW asked G Ivey why this area has been put in with Leeds and was told that we are within the Leeds area. G Ivey also said that the government had asked private developers for proposed sights.
MW asked G Ivey what the conservative party thought of this and was told not a lot.
G Ivey showed concern about whether the eco houses would be more expensive.

10 Proposed Play Area
The parish council have now received an updated licence for 6 months. The footpath is not on the licence. Peter Murphy from Selby Groundworks has said that the footpath should be dealt with separately. He is going to get prices for the widening of the original footpath. The village children were consulted about play equipment and they have agreed on four pieces of play equipment. BC asked that the parish council accept the licence. This was passed by the PC.
WREN have said that they would fund the playground. Sutcliffes have been asked for an up to date quote. EPAC will be asked for a grant of £20,000. G Ivey confirmed that the highways department have said that they have no plans for the next ten years but cannot put this in writing. BC suggested that the parish council start to get quotes for the footpath. MW asked about the removal of some trees and was told that there would be six trees affected but that they would be replaced.
11 Reports from Various Meetings
The defibrillation training has been completed and Cridling Stubbs has now got a trained person.
12 Payments
SDC payment for uncontested election £5.79 Grass cutting £105.00 Clerks expenses £10.00 All payments passed.
13 Any Other Business
A planning application has been received for 42 Wrights Lane for a bathroom extension. This item to be on April agenda.
MW brought up the subject of the Yoga club moving to Kirk Smeaton and would like a leaflet to be sent to residents of Cridling Stubbs about starting up another yoga club in the village. MW is to get technical details maybe put this in Womersley newsletter.
MW would also like to start a discussion group in the village hall and would like a leaflet to be sent to residents.
LW asked if anyone had any old mobile phones that maybe they would like to donate them to the village hall to raise funds.
