Cridling Stubbs Parish Council
12th January 2005
Members Present: Councillors B Crossdale, S Longley, M Shepherd, M Williams and J Adams.
Present: P.C. J Hart and Dawn Clarkson.
1.
Minutes of Last Meeting. The minutes were signed as a true record, all agreed.
2. Matters Arising
NYCC will not pay for any extra grass cutting. No test is required for J Adams and M Shepherd to drive the community mini bus providing their driving licence permits them to do so.
3. Correspondence
U.K. Coal re "The Big Stink" - this matter has been passed to the Director of Mining. N.Y.C.C. regarding possible closure of Womersley School, they are carrying out further consultations. S.D.C. Local Plan - they intend to adopt it. Vodaphone are proposing to reposition the mast in to the wood on Whitefield Lane
4. Anti Social Behaviour
P.C. J Hart and Dawn Clarkson from S.D.C. were present. Dawn Clarkson said that there is a non emergency telephone number to record and log any calls. A meeting is to be arranged between the young people and their parents and the village hall committee with a view to re opening youth activities in the village hall on 21 January at 7.00 pm, P.C. Hart and Dawn Clarkson will attend. P.C. Hart is going to look into the legal aspects of youths and air rifles.
5. Parish Plan
Selby Groundwork, Lyndsay White will assist and most of her fee will be met by Leader Plus, there is to be a meeting after 16 February 2005. A questionnaire is to be sent to all parishioners and a request for volunteers.
6. Womersley Burial Board
The position of clerk to the burial board is vacant and a request for volunteers will be put in the next news letter and any interested parties to contact J Adams.
7. Educational Trust Fund
Money has been transferred to Cridling Stubbs Trust Fund's account from N.Y.C.C. Request forms for 2005 will go out June or July 2005 for parishioners to apply for an award.
8. Fly Tipping
S.D.C. has given information and BC has turned it into flyers and will be sending copies to all villagers about what to do if you see anyone fly tipping. 9. Payments
Christmas tree light bulbs were purchased for £9.46. S.L. proposed and M.W. seconded. Cridling Stubbs Community Fund will donate monies in lieu of using village hall for its meetings.
10. Any other Business
There is to be a new doctors surgery at Eggborough and permission is being sought to open a pharmacy.
11. Public Question Time
A villager showed concern regarding the carol singer going round the village knocking on doors and then starting to sing. The use of the tip at Ferrybridge was brought up and we are still awaiting news. A question was asked for an update re proposed playground and footpath, still waiting news. S.L. wrote to Mr Downham re hedges and is still awaitíng a reply.
