1 Minutes of the last meeting
Item 10 on 20/2006 should also read the parish council have agreed to adopt the Cridling Stubbs Design Statement and Parish Plan.
The minutes were signed as a true record.
2 Matters Arising
Item 6 19/2006 Illegal parking JA suggested that this be place in the next newsletter.
3 Public Question Time
LW will telephone Shaws Coaches to confirm the Flexibus.
The questionnaire from NYCC is to be photocopied and a copy given to every household in the village.
A villager asked where the illegal parking was taking place and was told the main area is on Wrights Lane where the road narrows.
A villager asked for an update on the Womersley Road level crossing. There is nothing to report at this time.
A villager asked for update on speeding lorries. A copy of a letter received from PC L Walton to Plasmor has been received.
4 Correspondence
Item 6 correspondence 10 January 2007 Yorkshire Rural Community Council Conference - no parish councillor will be attending.
5 Reports from Various Meetings
JA attended a liaison meeting with UK Coal and UK Coal deny all responsibility for the big stink.
JA has sought legal advice and has been advised that possibly 5 villagers sue UK Coal in the small claims court. JA asked for this to go to a full village meeting. This item to be placed on the February 2007 agenda.
JA attended a meeting with Darrington Quarries and they are applying for planning permission to quarry on the other side of the M62 behind Plasmor.
JA attended a meeting at NY Voluntary Organisation at Easingwold. JA will be attending a meeting with the Playing Fields Association on 19 January 2007.
JA MW MS AND BC attended a meeting of the Osgoldcross Forum regarding defibrillation training. The Forum are looking into funding and the Ambulance Service will provide training.
6 Payments
Osgoldcross Forum Printing - £3.65.
JA to request 6 monthly bills be submitted.
7 Dog Fouling
MW brought to the attention of the parish council the dog mess on the pavements in and around the village. A flyer is to be included in the next newsletter asking dog owners to be more responsible and to pick up the dog mess. The dog warden is to be contacted regarding this problem and also stray dogs wandering in the village.
8 Any other Business
A villager asked about the locking of the village hall gate because of vandalism to the village hall. The parish council will approach the village hall committee to see whether it would be possible to leave the gate unlocked during the period when the agenda is posted in the notice board. Funding for a new notice board is to be placed on February 2007 agenda.
