1 Minutes of Last Meeting

 

The minutes were signed as a true record, all agreed.

 

2 Matters Arising

 

No matters were arising.

 

3 Correspondence

 

BC has received a letter from ex-resident Mr Thompson regarding accident on road near Darrington Quarries.  Parish Council cannot help Mr Thompson with regard to this accident as it knows nothing about it.

Letter of\complaint from Mrs H Speak regarding speeding traffic on Northfield Lane.  BC to write to Highways regarding our traffic calming scheme.

S.D.C. Community Safety Partnership. Stuart Younger wants to take this proposal to C.I.P. groups.

S.D.C. Planning Obligations 106 Agreement information.

S.D.C. website regarding parish councillors’ names being on the website, a parish councillor from an anonymous Council has complained about his name and telephone number being on the website.  Cridling Stubbs Parish Councillors have no objection to their details being posted.

N.Y.C.C. scheme – unemployed persons used as a special task force to tackle work in parishes.

N.Y.C.C. has appointed a new Chief Executive, Mr John Marsden.

 

4 Anti Social Behaviour

 

Result of the questionnaire given to the young people - only 4 young people were at the meeting and another 4 forms have since been received.

B.C. has phoned Dawn Clarkson for advice and it has been decided to try and organise a coach trip and whilst on the trip try and determine from the young people what they want, this trip to be open to any villagers who wish to go. A flyer is to be sent to all homes with a multiple choice option of where the venue will be. The village will apply to the Community Trust Fund for funding of such trip. Dawn Clarkson

will be invited to go on the trip.  B.C. to cost the price of a coach.

 

5 Womersley School

 

Parents have received a letter inviting them to a public meeting on the 23 February 2005 at 7.00 pm. BC to attend.

Mr Hallam was asked if he knew who the Trustees of Womersley School were and he wasn't sure who they were but thought that Lord Ross owned the school.

A poster about the public meeting regarding proposed closure of Womersley School is to be put in the village hall notice board and a pupil will possibly be asked to design the poster.

 

6 Planning Application

 

Owners of Farfield Cottage have applied for a double storey extension, concern over parking of cars as only one space will remain.

 

7 Payments

 

None recorded.

 

8 Any other Business

 

M.S. showed concern about 4x4 driving through hedges and fences and driving over fields. It is proposed to try and set up a farmers watch.

There was concern about shooting in the woods, B.C. will contact P.C. Hart.

Some while ago J Vause suggested setting up a bridge between the village and Manor Grange Stud to try and set up better communications, M.S. has had a meeting with Manor Grange Stud and it was decided to draw a line in the sand and start afresh.  Any complaints about MGS or any other village matter is to be put in writing and sent to B.C.

B.C. is to contact Gale Common and Mr Haigh and Mr D Ronksley about people accessing the woods for shooting.

As yet we have had no further news regarding the proposed playground, B.C. to try and get the telephone number for the legal team.

Proposed Whitefield Lane closure for 2 weeks, B.C. to contact Arriva about this as it does not affect the buses coming through the village, contrary to what the bus drivers had said.

 

9 Public Question Time

 

M.S. had newspaper cutting telling travellers how they can beat the planners.
