1 Minutes of Last Meeting

 

The minutes were signed as a true record.

 

2 Matters Arising

 

Regarding grass cutting JA asked for an update, the Parish Council have received a letter from Mr Cook.

 

Regarding Hanover Green MS asked for an update, a letter has been received from Womersley Parish Council.

 

Regarding dog fouling JA asked for an update, this item will be put on the next Agenda.

 

Regarding Arriva buses JA asked for an update, there is as yet nothing to report and this will be put on the next Agenda.

 

3 Public Question Time

 

Mr D Bullough reported that dogs and cats are being poisoned and warned of this problem.

 

Mr D Bullough said that the dogs owned by the Riding Stables at the top of Wrights Lane are continually running loose and causing a hazard on the road.

 

Mr D Bullough said that motor bikes are still being ridden in the field to the rear of Croft Lea/Wrights Lane. On Sunday 5 February 2006 at 9.30am a trailer arrived in the village with a motor bike on and the user then rode the said motor bike in the said field.

 

Mr Chisham asked for an update on the speed limit reduction being imposed and Mr Crossdale informed that there is a meeting with Highways department scheduled for next week to discuss this problem.

5 Regional Conference Society of Local Council Clerks

 

The clerk Mrs L Walker said she would attend the conference in 2007.

 

6 Community Emergency Plan

 

Wendy Muldoon has looked over the plan and she says it appears fine.

 

It is proposed to issue the plan and send it to NYCC, a copy to be sent to all parish councillors, Clerk and Mr D Bullough.

 

7 Parish Boundaries

 

A letter has been received from Womersley PC but as yet no further correspondence has been received.

 

8 State of Roads

 

BC commented on the state of the roads surrounding Cridling Stubbs. MS quoted Health and Safety Act Section 2 stating that UK Coal are responsible and that the parish council should take stronger action. JA suggested getting a Matrix system installed, the parish council could hire a portable Matrix and also suggested that we lobby G Ivey, J Grogan, Paul Shepherd and Highways NY.

 

The telephone number of UK Coal should be put on the next newsletter and asking villagers to ring UK Coal direct if they experience any problems or wish to complain.

 

A letter is to be sent to UK Coal asking for information regarding Tachographs, any further information regarding scraping top of lorries and a copy of their Health and Safety Policy, pointing out that they have a duty of care and that a condition of their planning consent states that the wagons must be clean leaving both sites.

 

The figures from the village questionnaire are to be quoted to UK Coal.  A copy of this letter to be sent to G Ivey, J Grogan and Paul Shepherd.

9 Any Other Business

 

JA has received several complaints regarding loud music being played in the village.

 

JA mentioned the post code in the village. This item to placed on the next agenda.
