Parish Meeting held on 28th May 2002

 

Points raised, lack of road signs to village, Bus parking on road while waiting, election of officers.

 

Correspondence - letter from BC to Arriva buses re-parking and state of road.

 

DQL update, Liaison group report included photographs of scavenger on site, asked questions but no response - promised within week.
Point of coverage of waste on site - Clinical waste bags forming cover at present.
Gas analysis, DM suggested sending copy to Environmental Health for independent analysis.
Villagers still need to complain about smell and noise.
MS commented on whole tyres being dumped - DQL have license to use old tarmac plant as a tip.
Suggestion for Noise monitoring equipment to be left in village
Further courses of action suggested including Legal Representation.
Suggestion to include AJP Dalton - will need funds to pay consultancy fee - part of £9,200 needed.

 

Proposal to convert to Parish Council from Parish Meeting, ask all residents and flyer to be sent out, 9 for, 0 against, 3 abstained.

 

Invite Kate Honeyman to meeting to discuss funding pathways.

 

RC option of roadsigns to Cridling Stubbs from A1 and Ripon Farm Services.

 

Village Hall Committee, only one member, will discuss further - Village hall will be bankrupt within 2 years....
