Notes from meeting held on Tuesday 1 October 2002
Slide show by the Council for Protection of Rural England to be organised. Discussion regarding the differences between Parish meetings and Parish Councils. 2 Officers from SDC attended to inform, advise and answer questions. Decision taken to ballot parish on this issue and for a final decision to be made at next parish meeting. Discussion took place regarding the Educational Trust Fund and its application for youth activities as advised by NYCC Community Education Officer. It was decided to elect an Educational Trust Fund Committee at the next Parish Meeting. It was decided to have a Christmas Tree outside the Village Hall, the grass cutting provision for next year was agreed, consideration was given to bus shelters and litter bins and writing to J Stack at S.D.C re discretionary grants for village halls. Councillor John Vause requested 2 representatives to take part in the new Osgoldcross Parish Forum which is due to commence next year. A donation was made to Cridling Stubbs Village Hall. There was a discussion about the possibility of negotiating with a planning consultant for future planning applications.
